Revenue from operations rose 29.9% year-on-year to ₹401.8 crore, EBITDA grew 18.7% to ₹161 crore, though margins contracted to 40.1% from 43.9% a year earlier

Shares of KFin Technologies were trading around ₹878 on Tuesday afternoon, up nearly 6 per cent from Monday’s close of ₹829, a day after the stock touched a fresh 52-week low of ₹784.

By afternoon, the stock had swung between ₹828.45 and ₹887.70 intraday, with over 31.87 lakh shares changing hands on the NSE, generating traded value of ₹276.71 crore. Buy orders held a marginal edge at 51.68 per cent of total quantity traded.

The bounce came on the back of Q2FY27 results announced on October 26, and a separate disclosure that the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, has granted a Foreign Business License to KFin Technologies (Thailand) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services, in a results flash note, characterised the quarter as “in-line performance,” maintaining a Buy rating with a prior CMP reference of ₹829.

The brokerage flagged 30 per cent revenue growth year-on-year as in line with estimates but noted a 20 per cent miss on international solutions revenue.

It highlighted that cost-to-income deteriorated to 59.9 per cent from 56.1 per cent a year ago, driven by a 43 per cent jump in employee expenses.

The firm said it would update its earnings estimates after a conference call scheduled for 11 AM IST on October 27. Motilal’s FY27 and FY28 EPS estimates stand at ₹25.7 and ₹29.3 respectively, implying a forward P/E of around 32x and 28x at Monday’s close.

On the numbers, revenue from operations rose 29.9 per cent year-on-year to ₹401.8 crore. EBITDA grew 18.7 per cent to ₹161 crore, though margins contracted to 40.1 per cent from 43.9 per cent a year earlier.

Profit after tax came in at ₹100.3 crore, up 7.5 per cent year-on-year. Sequentially, all three metrics improved sharply—EBITDA and PAT were up roughly 32 per cent and 33 per cent quarter-on-quarter respectively.

The stock remains down around 24.9 per cent over the past year against a 9 per cent decline in the Nifty 500.
